THIS WEEKS HIGHLIGHTS

Classrooms are nearing completion. They are fully painted, mopboards are being installed and the final wax is scheduled for this weekend.

The new entrance doors have been installed in the new office and daycare areas

The lounge area now has most of the tile work done and should be completed by early next week

We are hoping to begin to move some furnishings into the new space at the end of next week

The tiling and grout work for the lobby floor is almost complete.

Pot lights are beginning to appear throughout the new and renovated facilities.

The brickwork is now very visible at the new entrances.

Ceiling and floor tiles are being installed.

This Week’s Expansion Highlights

Carpenters have been busy this week.
· The bathrooms now have stalls, fixtures and countertops
· The daycare rooms now have tile and cabinets with countertops
· The kitchenette has cabinets and countertop
· A total of 12 of the new rooms are now tiled

* Painting is well underway with much of the colour schemes becoming visible
* Flooring and cabinets are being installed in the daycare space
* Many of the doors have been hung for the offices and classrooms

· Two of the offices and two of the daycare classrooms have now received paint.
· All the gyproc has been hung
· All the bathroom tiling has been completed

Electricians are running the underground piping for the outside electrical
Gyproc is being hung in the lounge area
All the door frames have been installed in the lounge area
Work continues on wiring and ventilation
A power pole has been put up for connection to the new facilities

Painters have begun priming some of the walls and door casings
The heating/cooling duct work is well underway
Jackhammers have been busily beating out the wall between the new addition and the existing offices
New stairs have been built connecting the new addition to the existing gym entrance

The metal siding is all up on the outside of the building
About half of the gyproc and crack filling is done
There is a new door in the Gym entrance way
Carpenters have been busily working on the stairs that lead from the lounge area to the gym

* All the studding in Zone C & D is now complete
* Blown in insulation is being added to the ceilings
* Carpenters have gutted Pastor Bob’s and Pastor Sterling’s offices making the existing offices loud and busy. :)

Expansion Update

Carpenters have been busy working on Zone B (the old CE wing). They have added most of the boards for the second layer of floor

Gyprock is being hung in some areas and crackfilling has begun

Sound proofing is being installed in the inner walls

Wiring and plumbing continue

* The doorway has been built connecting Zone B (the old CE Wing) and Zone C & D (the new wings) has been built
* A large portion of the elevated floor in Zone B (the old CE wing) has been built
* Carpenters have been insulating the exterior walls
* Next week demolition of Pastor Bob and Pastor Sterling’s old offices will begin

* The old CE wing in now completely demolished and the new raised floor has been started

* 90 percent of the new addition is now studded

* Electrician and plumbers continue to install the wiring and plumbing

* Carpenters have large sections of the addition studded

* The old CE wing is demolished upstairs and down

* The front wall of the old CE wing has been completely rebuilt to accommodate new windows that match the new office area windows

Zone D (daycare wing) has gyprock on all the ceilings, all the class walls are studded and the studding in the hall should be completed this week

The concrete for the last floors in Zone C (office area) should be poured this week

The roofing is complete

· Our building is now roof tight, all windows are in and tyvec is on all the exterior walls.
· The concrete has been poured for the stairs going to the gym.
· The steel studs and door frames have arrived

* Carpenters have finished roofing (shingling) the pitched roof and have begun the flat roofs.

* The concrete has been poured for the floors in Zone D (the daycare area)

* Carpenters have completed most of the strapping in Zone C (the multipurpose and office area)

* The roof trusses are all up! The roof is completely boarded in except the section next to the existing building
